What We Know About the 2024 GMC Sierra EV
The 2024 GMC Sierra EV is in development, and the automakers at GMC have released some details regarding the all-electric pickup truck. Here are some of the information that we know about this much-anticipated model.Â
Denali Edition
The rollout of the 2024 GMC Sierra EV will include the Denali Edition, which consists of a crew cab with dual motors. The edition includes a drive mode selector. In Max Powerâ„¢ mode, the truck produces up to 754 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque.*
In addition, 4-Wheel Steer will also come standard. This feature was first introduced in the GMC Hummer EV. With 4-Wheel Steer comes CrabWalkâ„¢, a function that enables the rear wheels to turn in unison and enables diagonal movement of the truck at slow speeds.
Range
GMC estimates the truck can travel roughly 400 miles on a full charge, the first EV pickup to do so. It’s equipped with an 800-volt battery that can recharge 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes using a Level 3 DC fast charger. With the Onboard Power Station Pro, acquire 10.2 kWh of power for tailgating or other on-the-go use.
Payload and Tow Capacity
The upcoming GMC Sierra EV will have a 1,300-pound payload and a 9,500-pound towing capacity. The dual motors operate on a four-wheel-drive platform, which GMC refers to as e-4WD.
Super Cruise Subscription
The purchase of the truck also comes with a three-year Super Cruiseâ„¢ subscription, with partial autonomous features like automatic lane changing and hands-free driving.
