What We Know About the 2024 GMC Sierra EV
The 2024 GMC Sierra EV is in development, and the automakers at GMC have released some details regarding the all-electric pickup truck. Here are some of the information that we know about this much-anticipated model.
The rollout of the 2024 GMC Sierra EV will include the Denali Edition, which consists of a crew cab with dual motors. The edition includes a drive mode selector. In Max Power™ mode, the truck produces up to 754 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque.*
In addition, 4-Wheel Steer will also come standard. This feature was first introduced in the GMC Hummer EV. With 4-Wheel Steer comes CrabWalk™, a function that enables the rear wheels to turn in unison and enables diagonal movement of the truck at slow speeds.
GMC estimates the truck can travel roughly 400 miles on a full charge, the first EV pickup to do so. It’s equipped with an 800-volt battery that can recharge 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes using a Level 3 DC fast charger. With the Onboard Power Station Pro, acquire 10.2 kWh of power for tailgating or other on-the-go use.
Payload and Tow Capacity
The upcoming GMC Sierra EV will have a 1,300-pound payload and a 9,500-pound towing capacity. The dual motors operate on a four-wheel-drive platform, which GMC refers to as e-4WD.
Super Cruise Subscription
The purchase of the truck also comes with a three-year Super Cruise™ subscription, with partial autonomous features like automatic lane changing and hands-free driving.
