A Preview of the Buick Electra

Did you know that all new Buick cars at a Buick dealership near me will be fully electric by 2030? While not much is known about this EV lineup, Buick has offered some tantalizing hints. We understand that these EVs will all have the Electra name, a callback to a car the company produced for several decades before it was discontinued in 1990, and many of the new lineup’s features are beginning to come into focus.
Exterior
So far, Buick has been tight-lipped about their Electra vehicles. We know that although the Buick Wildcat EV from which they draw their design language is a sporty sedan, Buick is sticking with SUVs in the future. We’re also intrigued by the unique design, featuring a forward-tilting front end, a low-mounted trapezoidal grille, and futuristic checkmark-shaped head- and taillights.
Interior
The interior is highlighted by a center console that runs the length of the car. The driver will use metal pedals and a flat-bottom steering wheel. There are also two screens, one for the instrument cluster and the other for the infotainment system.
Intriguing New Features
Buick is experimenting with several new features for their cars, including biometrics, aromatherapy, and artificial intelligence. It’s possible that with these systems, the car could monitor the heart rates of passengers, and if they notice an increase, a Zen mode could be activated. This would turn on the massaging seats, dim the lights, and even release pleasing scents into the cabin. The first Electra vehicles will be unveiled late in 2023, with pre-orders to follow. If you can’t wait that long, Patriot Buick GMC near Reading can help you find the right new Buick model right now!
